Aegis Therapies Joins RAVE

RAVELogo

Aegis Therapies has joined RAVE So it’s a great time to get onto RAVE, if you haven’t done so in a while, and tout the great work of your colleagues — including those in Aegis!

RAVE, which stands for Recognizing And Valuing Employees, is our Facebook-style website where you can send “thank you” and “job well done” messages to other employees across the company. Employees also can receive recognition points through this system that can be redeemed for a variety of items including merchandise, travel, tickets, gift cards, charitable giving, etc.

Golden LivingCenters will join RAVE in the coming months, and I’ll send you another message when that launch occurs.

When to RAVE

Are you RAVING enough? You should RAVE every time you want to:

  • appreciate someone’s hard work
  • recognize another employee’s devotion
  • point out exceptional customer service
  • make note of someone bringing our mission and values to life
  • tout an award or an honor a colleague has received
  • celebrate outstanding performance
  • make someone feel valued
  • say “thank you”
  • share a positive outcome
  • recognize someone’s integrity or accountability
  • bring attention to a best practice

Aegis Offers COTA Training

  • CNA

We are looking for candidates for our next class. If you’re interested or know someone who would be a strong candidate for this program, we’d love to hear from you. We are partnering with Concorde Career Colleges Inc. to offer qualified students the opportunity to earn a degree and become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at no cost.

About the Program

The COTA program is a 20-month course of study that begins in December 2014 and results in a three-year employment assignment with Aegis Therapies for Golden Living’s program graduates. The first five months of study will be completed online; the remaining coursework will be done at the training center in Fresno, Calif. Students will be required to live near the Fresno training center during this portion of the program and may need to temporarily relocate.

Twelve students will be accepted into the program. The class will be a combination of Golden Living employees and external candidates. Our new Occupational Therapy Assistant degree program helps us meet our staffing needs, as well as the needs of our patients by providing us qualified individuals who have been trained in our advanced clinical approach and standards.

The COTA program is structured for people who currently have a career in healthcare but are seeking to advance their skills or would like to move into transitional care/short-term rehabilitation from other fields.

The Application Process

Interested candidates should email Jennifer McClelland at jmcclelland2@concorde.eduby Monday, June 30, to begin the process. Qualified candidates will:
